50 Years of Acer. When Technical Detail Becomes Emotion

In contemporary exhibitions, print is no longer a simple information medium. It has become a narrative element, capable of engaging with historic architecture, meeting the readability demands of large formats, and contributing meaningfully to the visual identity of an exhibition project.

Today the real challenge is not only aesthetic, but technical: how do you guarantee flawless colour rendering across large surfaces, while maintaining sharp texts and visual details — in a context that demands absolute consistency across every panel and every decade on display?

A recent project of ours was born from exactly this question.

Celebrating Half a Century of Innovation

Celebrating fifty years of technology history is a challenge we took on with pride. For the Acer event, held at the Museo Leonardo Da Vinci in Milan on 9 and 10 March 2026, our goal was to transform decades of innovation into a powerful, coherent and immersive visual experience — a space where the technical work disappears behind the visitor’s perception, leaving only the feeling that everything is exactly as it should be.

In contexts like this, every design decision must start from a thorough analysis of the surfaces and the narrative structure of the content. Every era on display — from the “Pop Culture Explosion” of 1996 to the digital architectures of today — had to find its correct visual dimension, with a colour, a graphic temperature and a weight that were immediately recognisable both from a distance and up close.

The Technique: Every Detail in Its Place

For colorlito.ch we managed every aspect of the graphic production and installation, developing specific solutions to meet the demands of the museum space:

  • Chronological HD panels for a sharp and engaging narrative of the brand’s key decades — readable from a distance, precise even up close
  • Monumental backdrops with anti-reflective materials, ideal for scenic impact and flawless photographic rendering in any lighting condition
  • Absolute colour consistency across all surfaces, from large exhibition formats down to networking details such as lanyards and signage
  • Parallel management of multiple format types, maintaining visual coherence across graphically very different elements

Everything was produced entirely in-house at our laboratory in Lamone — delivering the precision and quality that only Made in Ticino can offer.

Graphics, Space and Narrative: A Continuous Dialogue

The installation went far beyond the panels. We managed the entire physical space of the event, from welcome materials to display supports, through to branded items distributed to participants. Work that demands coordination, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple formats simultaneously — while maintaining visual consistency across every surface.

The result is a space that tells a story without anyone having to explain it: you simply walk between the panels and let yourself be guided.

Seeing the history of a giant like Acer come to life on our surfaces is tangible proof that excellence in print is the best bridge between a great idea and its audience.

What This Project Demonstrates

This project shows what is possible today:

  • Designing installations where the technical work disappears behind the visitor’s experience
  • Guaranteeing flawless colour rendering on large formats without sacrificing detail or sharpness
  • Integrating print as a structural part of the narrative and architectural project
  • Maintaining visual coherence even across graphically very heterogeneous content
  • Managing panels, backdrops and communication materials in parallel with a single unifying thread

Museums, exhibition spaces, corporate events: contexts once considered “complex” are today becoming extraordinary creative opportunities.

New Possibilities for Brands, Institutions and Cultural Spaces

This project is a concrete example of how print can take centre stage even in the most demanding contexts, opening up new possibilities for:

  • Brands and companies looking to celebrate their history with a high-quality installation
  • Cultural institutions and museums
  • Trade fair and congress spaces
  • High-profile corporate events

For us, every exhibition project always starts from the same foundation: an analysis of the space, the narrative requirements and the client’s objectives.

From this approach come tailor-made print solutions, combining technical performance, visual quality and creative freedom — even in the most demanding contexts.

Do You Have an Exhibition Project or Event to Build?
